Project Parava’s Uddo Beach Cleanup Drive brought together volunteers to restore the shoreline and spread awareness on responsible tourism.
The Uddo Beach Cleanup Drive, organized by Project Parava, was successfully conducted at Uddo Beach, a serene and ecologically significant coastal stretch in Goa known for its natural beauty and calm shoreline. The initiative aimed to restore the beach while promoting environmental awareness and responsible tourism.
Volunteers actively participated in collecting waste scattered along the shoreline, including plastic bottles, bottle caps, chips packets, wrappers, cigarette boxes, and beer bottles. Over 20+ large garbage bags of waste were collected, amounting to approximately 180–220 kg of trash removed from the beach.
Beyond the cleanup, the drive emphasized the importance of preserving Uddo Beach’s pristine character and protecting coastal ecosystems from plastic pollution. The event concluded with a renewed sense of community responsibility and commitment toward keeping the beach clean for future generations.
